FAQ
How old are puppies when they are able to leave the breeders care?
Puppies must be a minimum of 8 wks old
I've reserved a puppy and cannot pick up till after their "ready date", am I able to do that?
We understand that life happens, if we have to hold and care for your puppy after they are ready to leave, we charge the following care fee:
5+days-2 weeks: $200
3 weeks: $300
4 weeks: $400
Where are we located at?
We are located in the PNW. In Washington State. Approximately 38 min west of Tacoma
Can I arrange shipping/transport?
Yes, families are encouraged to either come pick up puppies themselves, or arrange their own. We advise you to research each company thoroughly. We require a "release of liability" form to be signed if a 3rd party is used to transport or ship your pup. This includes air cargo. Please see the "transport" tab above.
Do we deliver?
We highly recommend families to come and personally pick their pup(s) up when they are ready to go. If we do need to deliver or meet, we do charge a time/gas fee. This includes the expenses needed to get said puppy from point A to point B . Our delivery fee is $100 per hour (from breeders location to delivery address). *At this time, due to my school schedule, I may only be able to deliver 1 hr away. Sorry for the inconvenience*
Can I request to see a litters' pedigree or contract prior to reserving?
Yes
How do you as the breeder go down the waitlist when puppies are available?
Once a litter is born, it will be announced on our website and social media pages. For smaller litters, at about 3 weeks old, we will first contact the waitlisted families who specified that they wanted a puppy from that particular pair. For larger litters, puppy picks can be made as soon as a few days after whelping. This gives us 5 weeks to place the rest of the litter. If anyone declines and puppies are still available, we will then notify and offer the pups to the other waitlisted families who placed a deposit for a different pair . Following that, if any pups are still available, they will be offered to anyone that's not on our waitlist. NOTE: If you decline or transfer, you will be put on the bottom of the list. We will keep offering you available pups until your deposit expires OR until you stop all communication with us. We do our best to work with each family to the best of our ability.
(A maximum of 12 hrs is given to reply or we continue down the waitlist. Picks need to be done by 3 weeks old)
Do I have to pay additional once a litter is born and I choose a puppy?
When you choose your puppy, we require a minimum $300 deposit. This goes towards the total. It can be transferred for up to 12 months.
What forms of payment do you accept?
GoodDog, Zelle , CashAPP (NOTE: Electronic Payments are subject to additional tax), AND Cash are all accepted. We do not accept PayPal. If the final remaining balance is paid electronically, it must be sent 48hrs prior to puppy pickup, no exceptions.
What happens if I change my mind on a puppy?
In a situation where you place a waitlist deposit and/or reservation deposit and choose a puppy to find out later that you aren't interested anymore etc, any payments made are non-refundable. Deposits are payments made in order for a certain puppy to be held for a family. It's a way to insure families/buyers are serious and are committed to their decision. However, we are more than happy to transfer your payments to another litter within 1 year from the date placed.
Can I transfer my deposit(s) to another puppy?
If you would like to transfer your deposit(s) to another puppy in a litter after you have chosen a puppy, please contact us immediately. If a littermate is available, you are more than welcome to transfer. However, if you would like to transfer to a completely different litter, you must 1st contact us to arrange your spot in that litter. Keep in mind that there may be a waitlist already started on that litter prior to your change of mind. Valid for 1 year from the date deposit was placed.
Can I get a refund after I take my puppy home?
All sales are final. Please do your research on this breed prior to getting one of our puppies. They aren't for everyone. Reselling or rehoming is not allowed. Per contract, puppies are required to come back to us. Refunds are not guaranteed and in most cases, no refunds will be given. Puppies aren't toys that are tossed around from person to person. Continuous "rehoming" can cause a multitude of behavioral issues. If you do not agree to this, then I would encourage you to find another breeder. These terms stand regardless of which state you live in.
What is Limited Rights?
Absolutely no breeding allowed. Pet only and on a spay/neuter contract.
What is Full Rights?
Puppy shall remain intact. Breeding rights are included. We require breeders to send us a written breeding plan prior to sending a deposit. Full rights is extra. We do not guarantee a puppies breeding future.
Can I review the contract prior to a deposit being placed?
Yes
What is our genetic health guarantee?
Our puppies have a 1 year (from birth) health guarantee from congenital defects that may hinder the quality of life <that were tested in the parent stock>. (This excludes external and internal parasites/worms/protozoa, utis, umbilical hernias, cryptos, viruses, bacterial infections, respiratory infections, allergies/allergic reactions, issues caused by buyer neglect, issued caused by transport neglect, vaginitis, stress colitis/diarrhea etc) Puppies must be 1st seen by their veterinarian for a full wellness checkup within 24hrs of pickup for us to honor our health and genetic health guarantee. Even though it's highly unlikely, something may be missed at the litters wellness/physical exam. Having said that, if within the 24hr period, a licensed veterinarian deems that a puppy has a life threatening genetic issue, the puppy must come back to us and we will give you a full refund. We may as you to have a second opinion done if there are any discrepancies. If an issue comes about later in the puppies life, we will first ask you to show proof of the puppies wellness exam during the 24hr period and a written vet diagnosis with proof explaining the health situation of said puppy. This insures that the owner has read the contract in full and has abided by it. If they can provide proof and it is verified, we will happily take said puppy back and offer you a replacement puppy. If the owners did not get said puppy evaluated within the 24hr pickup period, and a genetic issue comes about later in the puppies life, we unfortunately cannot honor our genetic health guarantee due to the breach in contract. Due to various factors that we cannot control once a puppy leaves (examples: kibble quality, environment, training techniques, owners knowledge, contract compliance, veterinarian experience/biased opinions, exposure to toxins, other pets in the household, typical puppy behaviors etc) our health/genetic health guarantee only covers what was tested in the parent stock. For this reason, we ask owners to be financially ready to bring a puppy home. We offer 2 different 30 day free pet insurance plans for every puppy that leaves our care. A complimentary wellness exam coupon is offered as well to you from AKC once you register your puppy so there is no reason to not have your puppy seen . In our breeding program, we do the best that we can to health test all the breeding stock per OFA breed guidelines. We also DNA test using EMBARK for genetic/hereditary conditions. Even if parents were health tested, flukes still may arise, health testing unfortunately isn't bullet proof.
What if I loose my AKC paperwork in the future?
Please contact AKC directly. They are the only ones to re-issue your registration. We will be more than happy to assist in confirming any registration questions that AKC may have.
We got our puppy on Limited rights, now have done our research and would like Full Rights, can I still get them?
If you have sent in your written breeding plan and have expressed the desire to obtain Full rights, a FULL RIGHTS Late Fee of must be paid. (This is the difference between limited and full at the time of sale, plus a late fee. {$200} )
My puppy is an adult now and on limited rights and had an "oops" litter, what happens?
Regardless of intent, a large fine will be charged. Unfortunately, we will seek legal actions and will prosecute to the full extent of the law. With limited rights, a puppy must be fixed. It will be the owners responsibility to keep them from breeding, accident or not. Keep in mind, legal fees and fines will be the owners responsibility.
Life happened, I need a new home for my puppy. What do I do?
If you cannot keep your puppy, you must contact us first. We will be more than happy to take your puppy back. Refunds are rarely given. In an unfortunate event that you KNOWINGLY rehome or sell your puppy without our permission, you will be charged a large fine as well as legally prosecuted.
Will my puppy come with a health record?
Our puppies come with a complete health record that shows all vaccines given and dewormings. A vet exam will be performed and paperwork will be provided from the appointment as well. Since puppies are prone to worms/parasites/protozoa, we advise you to continue dewormings even after they leave. Parasites can be found anywhere and 1 lick of parasite eggs or cysts can cause a puppy to be immediately infected. Worms/Parasites/Protozoa can be found on grass, water, soil, and contaminated areas where other dogs have been. Most dogs are carriers. For this reason , parasites/worms/protozoa are excluded from our health guarantee. Parasites are easily treated and are not considered life threatening unless left untreated for a duration of time. We give our puppies fenbendazole and/or pyrantel pamoate every 2 weeks starting at 2 weeks old. We also give the dewormer to the dam. *Puppies can still contract parasites after they leave.*We also vaccinate early with NeoPar at 40-42 days old as well as the 1st DHPP vaccine. Puppies must be continue their set of 3 vaccines at a 4 week interval. Rabies can be given at 16 weeks old. Unfortunately, a puppy/dog can still contract a virus even if they are fully vaccinated. Hence the importance to limit or postpone outings, dog park visits, grass exposure, store visits etc.
